Meaning of Memorial Day

Newspapers forget what Memorial Day stands for. To edit or censor the words of a US Military Veteran goes beyond belief. A funny e-mail that I got from someone calling himself or herself a veteran yesterday could be you. He told me a story of how he is rated 40% disabled but cannot get help from the VA. He told me that my letters just keep bring up the same old stuff. That I should give up and move on as he did cannot be the answer. My answer is that we cannot move on or give up because this is our country. People celebrate Memorial Day to remember all those that gave their lives over the History of the USA for what? Did they give so much so that we do not have to respect and honor what they gave it for? How many forgotten or miss treated US Military Veterans are their out in the USA just like this one that wrote me. I am not persistent or delusional my goal is to make sure what these heroes that gave their lives for is not in vein. To let NH Rep Shea-Porter use federal powers to attempt to use combat related disabilities to take my freedom is a crime against humanity and the law. To allow this elect official to file a false police complaint to stop my opinion letter is a crime against our Constitution. For the newspapers to censor public facts to protect her image constitutes the most outrageous crime against our Constitution. For NH Governor Lynch to make me pay money from my limited income to speak of government wrongs with him is a crime against everything our Constitution stands for. He still has not allowed me to speak with him, which is another unsolved crime. NH put me in jail as a terrorist. Losing my freedom for six months, then four days before the trial the charges are dropped. For the Federal Government to stop my VA medical to stop my opinion letters and no one cares (What the heck are we fighting for, Next stop is Vietnam) are a crime so great everyone is scared to approach it. Memorial Day stands for what they gave their lives for not them.
This US Military Veteran is just one of hundreds and hundreds of responses from others in the same boat. I even stopped under a bridge in Portsmouth NH to give a cup of coffee to a homeless veteran once. I sat and talked for awhile learning the silent Demons of war took this college graduate’s family, friends and life because the VA would not help him and his answer was to protect all others by going off alone where his nightmares cannot harm others. If the newspapers would allow the readers opinion to be published others would realized politicians pet projects take way from those that protected and defended the USA for future generations freedom and equal rights. The US Military Veteran (dead or alive) amounts to eleven percent of the population that gave everything so eighty nine percent could have freedom and an equal chance. Memorial Day is not just remembering those that gave but it is more knowing what they gave it for. It is a Day everyone should look around and see that the Constitution protects everyone including the US Military Veterans as well as it does the Politicians.
I am running for NH State Senate yet this 100% disabled veteran is censored by the news shows just how much respect is meant on this Memorial Day for the US Military Veteran Dead or Alive and what they gave it for.

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the
VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.
It is the VETERAN who serves under the Flag.
